Instructions worked for me, but I had to install raspbian_lite-2017-04-10 . It would be nice for there to be updated tutorials on how to do this with the newer versions of raspberry pi OS. Also, might help to know that the default pwd for user "pi" is raspberry"

The only way i would buy the k600 is if it was back lite like the now discontinued k830. Logitech if you are listening the k830 was perfect and had everything. If its profit the share holders want give the people what they want, not what you want to shove down their throats. I don't know what bone head thought dropping the k830 from their line up was a good idea. No back lighting really? Think of it this way, the population is only getting older and backlighting helps people with vision issues. Charge more if you have to but bring the K830 back or upgrade the K600 with lighting. here's a tip advertise on AARP. I'm sure many seniors in this computerized world would appreciate it.

Id like to see how to recover encrypted data from a sinology NAS. I was locked out of my Synology NAS then reset it. Once I did that I was locked out of the my encrypted drives. The file and password which i saved do not work. I really need that data.

Alternatively, if you don't want to mess around with Linux, I found a program that will read a synology drive in windows. I recently had a hardware failure on a DS218j Synology NAS. When I logged onto the NAS the storage pool was just gone - 0 bytes used.. I was panicking as a lifetime of photos, music etc was stored on it. After looking through multiple forums I found a recommendation for UFS Explorer. You can download a trial copy to see if it works. I downloaded the professional, raid and standard levels. I stuck one of my raid 1 drives into an external drive caddy and the standard version was able to open it and save the data to my PC drive. The raid version might be needed for other raid configs and you might need to have multiple drives installed in your computer, but for raid 1 the external caddy worked fine.

Short: I recovered everything using "DiskInternals Linux Reader" a free tool for windows. Long: I had an 8y old synology tsc-251c with 2hd RAID1. The NAS failed (No post beep) but I had no reason to think the HDs were dead. I tried the linux approach using a VM I had ready and connecting one of the two hd with an external usb docking station. Unfortunately I was getting the error "mdadm: No arrays found in config file or automatically". Before diving into the linux solution I searched for a free tool (really free) and came across DiskInternals.
